I am puzzled by this behavior of the QuickTime video in this Shockwave application: On Mac OS only, if you have more than one tab opened in Safari 3, Firefox 2, or Firefox 3, switching from another tab to this one will restart the video.

Using the vertical scrollbar in this window has the same effect.

This is puzzling by itself, but in my application this behavior is also destructive because the purpose is to restrict the viewer to being able to hear this dialog only once (this is a language exam). (In this sample, you can give yourself any number of views by reloading the page.)

Any insights would be much appreciated. Slava (sp27@cornell.edu)

On all Windows systems I tested, the video continues playing and stops when it reaches the end, no matter what you do with tabs or scrollbars. How do I get Mac browsers to do the same? Slava (sp27@cornell.edu)
